Miriam Cojocaru - Israel

Miriam was born in Romania in 1945. In 1969 she received her Master in Science, degree in Chemistry. In 1973 she emigrated to Israel. In 1982 she received a PhD  in Chemistry. She has published more than 50 papers in her scientific field. After years of working in research and teaching, while always painting, Miriam took classes in the Arts Faculty at the University of Tel Aviv and at Bar Ilan University. She also studied drawing and painting at the Avni Art Institute in Tel Aviv, at the Meimad Art Institute Tel Aviv and at the studios of the artists Tzwi Tadmor, Jan Rauchwerger  and Ira Rauchwerger. Since 1991 she has been a member of the Israel Painters' and Sculptors' Association and since 2002 she has been the curator of many exhibitions in the Bible Museum of Tel Aviv, in the Israel Painters and Sculptors Association House, Tel Aviv, and in the Congress Hall of Haifa.
